Lisa Arroyas, Darien Phillips and Brandi Posey were awarded scholarships by the chapter, made possible by a fundraising luncheon and sponsors as well as members’ dues statement contributions.

The chapter’s scholarship endowed through the Lamar University Foundation was given to Erika Sumrow.

Alex Defrancis was recognized as the TXCPA Accounting Education Foundation’s Accounting Excellence Award honoree for Lamar University.

Frank Badua, Ph.D. and Timothy McCoy, Ph.D. CPA were selected for Faculty Research Awards funded by the chapter.
