Notice to Schedule (NTS) Extensions
All Texas CPA Exam candidates with a Notice to Schedule (NTS) expiring between April 1 – September 30, 2020, will be extended until December 31, 2020.

Board Grants Application of Intent Extensions in Response to Prometric Test Center Closures
Texas CPA Exam candidates are having difficulty finding open testing sites and scheduling appointments so that they can test before the expiration of the Application of Intent. The Board has authorized the extension of approved Applications of Intent to December 31, 2020.

CPA Exam Credit Extensions
All Texas CPA Exam candidates with one or more credits on the CPA Exam that will expire on or before September 30, 2020, will be granted a 90-day extension of the credit to December 31, 2020.
Notice to Schedule and CPA Exam Credit Extensions will be communicated to NASBA and reflected on the candidates’ secure files on the Board’s website at www.tsbpa.texas.gov.

Classroom Hour Requirement 
TSBPA also decided to eliminate the requirement of 15 classroom hours of advanced accounting courses to qualify to take the CPA exam and to extend the emergency rulemaking for an additional 60 days which eliminated the requirement of 15 classroom hours of advanced accounting courses to qualify to take the CPA Exam.
