The Arc of Texas

Internship Description: The Accounting Intern involves limited independent judgment. In general the Accounting Intern provides the support necessary to pay and record the obligations of the organization and record receipt of organization funds. Duties include performing data entry and clerical work requiring application of various methods and procedures, and familiarity with departmental functions, policies, and practices.

Job Summary: Assists with conducting a wide variety of accounting functions including tax preparation, tax research, tax planning and performs auditing functions for a variety of clients in the areas of non-profit, government and private industry.

Essential Functions
:
Assists with tax return preparation engagements.

  • Continues degree preparation program at the designated college/university.

Internship Description: We are currently seeking a tax intern to prepare, assemble and distribute corporation and partnership tax returns. As needed, the intern will also handle general office administration tasks. No previous experience is required as the new intern will receive on-the-job training. This is an excellent hands-on opportunity to gain real tax accounting experience.

Job Requirements: Highly motivated student with an excellent academic record (minimum GPA=3.5). Candidate must be seeking a Business or Accounting degree.
