Business and Industry Issues
Explore issues and make recommendations regarding the specific needs of members in business, industry, government, and education focusing on members’ ability to provide changing services to employers and enhancing professional careers.

CPA Practice Issues
Explore issues and make recommendations regarding the specific needs of members in public practice, focusing on members’ ability to provide changing services to clients and the public and enhancing professional careers.

Diversity and Inclusiveness
Explore issues and make recommendations regarding diversity/inclusiveness in three areas: recruiting into the accounting profession in Texas, increasing membership and participation in TSCPA, and helping CPAs serve a diverse public.

Editorial Board
Provide content oversight and review for Today’s CPA magazine.

External Relations/Image Issues
Make recommendations for the development and implementation of strategies that deliver messages about and promote TSCPA and CPAs to appropriate outside audiences.

Information Technology
Create timely and relevant communication to the TSCPA membership on IT issues. Recommend relevant content for inclusion in CPE courses.

IRS, Relations with
Build and maintain communication with IRS, exchange ideas and information with IRS officials and among TSCPA members.

Membership
Recommend and execute programs to recruit and retain all eligible CPAs and students as TSCPA members. Review existing TSCPA membership structure and identify potential new categories or programs that would assist in development of TSCPA membership. Identify and recommend programs and develop leadership opportunities that will enable members to thrive in a rapidly changing business environment and assure a continued supply of future leaders for TSCPA.

Young CPAs and Emerging Professionals

Explore the professional needs and issues of TSCPA’s young CPAs (40 years and under) and emerging professionals (students/candidates). Develop resources to meet these needs. Provide opportunities for TSCPA volunteer experience to the next generation of Society leaders.
