Are you looking for a way to enhance financial literacy among your colleagues or staff? Do you need a CPA for a school or career day presentation? Are you a nonprofit organization looking to host a seminar on a specific personal finance topic? If so, then turn to the Texas Society of CPAs. Our members perform this public service FREE OF CHARGE
to promote financial literacy and accounting careers through speaking engagements and volunteer presentations.
Sample topics include:
Personal finance (avoiding an IRS audit, preparing a personal budget, saving and investing, retirement planning, keeping good financial records, choosing a CPA, etc.)
- Small business advice (dealing with the IRS, retirement plan options, working with your banker, strategic planning, tax implications, etc.)
- CPA services and careers (how to become a CPA, accounting education, school presentations, career fairs, etc.)

Accounting Career Education
The Accounting Career Education (ACE) program provides CPA volunteers with opportunities and resources to tell students about the bright future they can have when they pursue a career in accounting. Through this program, TSCPA members have visited thousands of Texas junior high, high school and college students statewide and opened their eyes to the possibilities of a career in accounting.
Share your financial wisdom with the community! TSCPA provides PowerPoint presentations on a variety of financial literacy topics like buying a home, paying for college, identity theft, teaching kids about money, and much more.
