Help Review Tarrant County Small Business Grant Assistance Applications

Tarrant County needs your help with economic recovery. Renee Tidwell, County Auditor, is asking fellow members to help review and process Small Business Grant Assistance Applications. 

TARRANT COUNTY PROJECT EMPLOYEE or INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR POSITION

SUMMARY:

Tarrant County is seeking individuals to assist with reviewing and processing applications for the Small Business Assistance Grant program.  Tarrant County will begin accepting grant applications from small businesses on or about October 14, 2020.  Training for project employees and contractors will occur on selected dates beginning Oct 7, 2020.  The program is estimated to be complete by December 4, 2020.   Majority of work will be required to be performed on-site.  Working remotely will be limited and must be in the best interests of the County.  Remote work will also be contingent on the availability of Tarrant County equipment.

SALARY RANGE:  Between $10,000 - $15,000 per month.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze financial data, bank statements, and federal tax returns to determine COVID impact.
  2. Accumulates documents and other information necessary to make determination related to COVID impact.
  3. Calculate grant award based on guidelines.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in business required, accounting degree preferred.  Two years (2) years of accounting or tax related experience required.  Ability to collect and analyze financial data and draw logical conclusions.  Ability to communicate risk to management for action.  Ability to make decisions based on relevant criteria.  Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in use of spreadsheets and word processing, and knowledgeable in techniques of conducting research including Internet research.
