I am pleased to invite you to participate in our Annual Meeting of Members, which will be held at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, CO on June 30 and July 1, 2017. The Annual Meeting provides a great opportunity for you to connect with your peers. You will also get a close-up look at the Society’s inner working, and provide input and, for directors, make decisions about the organization’s 2017-18 budgets and proposed bylaw changes.

We have secured an exciting array of interesting and informative speakers to give you added insight into what is affecting the profession and TSCPA. Friday’s program will include an AICPA Update including professional issues. Also on Friday, Tom Morrison will present “What’s your Uber?” He will discuss how to embrace disruption to turn havoc into member engagement. Morrison is a popular association speaker and the CEO of the Metal Treating Institute with more than 20 years of association management experience.

On Saturday, technology strategist and IT advisor, Dan Domagala will detail his eight-point checklist for cybersecurity that will protect your data and guard your assets. Domagala is the senior consulting manager for the tax, auditing and consulting firm, EKS&H, located in Denver. He has more than 30 years of experience in the technology arena.

Alfonzo Alexander will explain “How to R.A.I.S.E. the Bar with Ethical Decision-Making” utilizing an interactive approach. Alexander serves as chief relationship officer of NASBA and president of NASBA’s Center for the Public Trust (CPT).

I look forward to seeing you in Colorado Springs!

Jim Oliver, CPA, CGMA
