The Outstanding Accounting Educator Award recognizes Texas accounting educators who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and have distinguished themselves through active service to the accounting profession. The awards give profession-wide recognition to the recipients along with promoting role models in academe.
The award recipients will be honored before their peers during TSCPA’s annual Accounting Education Conference. Recipients receive a $500 award, a recognition plaque and complimentary registration to the conference. News releases will be distributed to state and national accounting media, and to each recipient’s hometown media and college or university public information office.
Only one Outstanding Accounting Educator Award may be awarded in each category (community college, small, medium, and large university or college). Winners will be notified prior to the annual Accounting Education Conference. Awards will not be given in categories where judges determine that the entries do not merit them.
The Outstanding Accounting Educator Awards are funded by the Accounting Education Foundation and presented by the TSCPA Relations with Educational Institutions Committee to honor those with a history of excellence in education. View a list of past honorees.
Nominations for the annual awards may be submitted by Texas colleges, universities, community colleges, TSCPA chapters and members. Incomplete nomination forms will not be considered.
