This comprehensive handbook, developed by the American Institute of CPAs, includes 15 lesson plans covering topics like financial statement analysis, e-commerce, financial planning, preparing a business plan, and forensic accounting. Each lesson plan includes objectives and procedures, topic overviews, student learning activities, and answer keys. Performance measures, standards and competencies needed for entry into the profession also are provided for the teacher to use.
A companion volume is available mapping all 15 “Takin’ Care of Business” lesson plans to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) requirements for five secondary courses taught in Texas public schools.
Career Guide
This illustrated booklet introduces students to the
services CPAs provide, the industries in which CPAs
work, the earning potential of a CPA, and the requirements
for becoming one. A listing of Texas colleges and
universities offering accounting programs is also
included.
