Senior, Financial Reporting

1. Purpose

In Cadbury Schweppes we work together to create brands people love. You will contribute to this by directing and performing all activities associated with the collection, preparation, quality review, and dissemination of information to the external community of stakeholders and regulatory reporting agencies relating to the company’s overall financial performance, operational performance and progress toward strategic goals.

2. Accountabilities

1. Support the timely, accurate and reliable reporting for annual, quarterly and ad hoc SEC filing requirements, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, footnotes and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A); ensure compliance with SEC regulations and US GAAP standards.

2. Support the Manager and Director of Financial Reporting as a key contact for business segments for US GAAP technical accounting and policy issues.

3. Support the preparation and administration of all Corporate driven financial policies and procedures.  Perform the review of new and proposed US GAAP standards to determine the effect on the financial statements and related SEC disclosures.

4. Perform calculations related to and provide technical accounting support for accounting for stock option plans, defined benefit pension/OPEB accounting, derivatives and inventory.

5. Support the development and delivery of training on US GAAP accounting issues, new accounting pronouncements and Corporate financial policies.

6. Assist in the coordination of annual external audit and quarterly reviews.

3. Pre-requisites:

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

2. CPA Candidate if public accounting experience is preferred

3. Minimum of 2 years experience with external reporting with a public company

4. Key Performance Indicators

1. Demonstrate knowledge of financial statement (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow) data and presentational requirements in accordance with US GAAP.

2. Demonstrate knowledge of collecting, consolidating and accounting for financial results of subsidiaries in an international environment including integrating and analyzing management data from numerous transaction systems.

3. Successfully performing and advising the business on the following: purchase accounting, evaluation of impairment of goodwill and intangibles, accounting for stock option plans, multi-currency conversions and translation, translation gain/loss calculations, defined benefit pension/OPEB accounting and derivatives accounting.

4. Successfully filing all required SEC documents in an accurate and timely manner.
