Financial Analyst I - Accounting

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, a leading academic health sciences center located on the Texas Gulf Coast, is searching for highly-motivated and enthusiastic candidates for a Financial Analyst I position in the Accounting Office of our Finance Department. The Financial Analyst I – Accounting will reconcile various balance sheet accounts monthly, including but not limited to cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; perform quarterly reviews of various balance sheet reconciliations prepared by others; assist with month end and year end close out activities; perform financial statement variance analysis on a monthly basis.

Candidates should have a bachelor degree or equivalent in a related field, preferably accounting or finance, and two years related experience.  Hyperion and/or PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
