Texas Society of CPAs Launches
New Interactive Web Site for Students
Destination CPA Gives Students an Inside Look into the Accounting Profession
DALLAS — Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) recently launched a new interactive Web site called Destination CPA. Available at go.tscpa.org/, Destination CPA maps out the route to becoming a certified public accountant for both high school and college students.
Teachers are also welcome to come along for the ride, where they can find links to classroom resources, like lesson plans, career videos and more.
The site is designed as a virtual road trip through careers in accounting that gives students two options: they can sit back, relax and take the guided tour, or they can become the driver and navigate for themselves.
Students can enjoy the scenery and professional career information as they cruise through High School Hills, College Canyon, and Candidate Cove.
Drivers, whose eyes may get weary on the road, can make a stop at the drive-in to catch an accounting careers flick, or stop by the Visitor’s Bureau to pick up some TSCPA brochures. Students and teachers can also pull into the gas station to fill up on TSCPA scholarship information and to learn about the variety of careers the accounting profession offers.
