Austin Accountant Named to Board of Texas CPA Society
Terry Newman Will Help Oversee Activities of 27,000-Member Organization

DALLAS — Austin certified public accountant Terry B. Newman was elected Friday to the executive board of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). TSCPA is the third largest state CPA society in the United States.

Newman will serve a three-year term on the organization’s executive board, where she will set policy, manage programs and oversee activities designed to serve Texas CPAs.

Newman is assistant vice president of the University of Texas’ Office of Graduate Studies and is responsible for administrative services in the Graduate School.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from UT.
