Smith was elected Friday to the executive board of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). TSCPA is the third largest state CPA society in the United States. Smith will serve a three-year term on the organization’s executive board, where he will set policy, manage programs and oversee activities designed to serve Texas CPAs. Smith is managing director of Dallas accounting firm Smith, Jackson, Boyer, & Bovard, PLLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Methodist University. ABOUT TSCPA TSCPA (http://www.tscpa.org) is a nonprofit, voluntary, professional organization representing Texas CPAs. The society has 20 local chapters statewide and has 27,000 members, one of the largest in-state memberships of any state CPA society in the United States.
