Dallas Accountant Named to Board of Texas CPA Society
James A. Smith Will Help Oversee Activities of 27,000-Member Organization

DALLAS — Dallas certified public accountant James A. Smith was elected Friday to the executive board of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). TSCPA is the third largest state CPA society in the United States.

Smith will serve a three-year term on the organization’s executive board, where he will set policy, manage programs and oversee activities designed to serve Texas CPAs.

Smith is managing director of Dallas accounting firm Smith, Jackson, Boyer, & Bovard, PLLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Methodist University.
