There aren’t any direct flights to Mescalero. Consider flying into El Paso and either, rent a car or take the shuttle to Mescalero. The largest airports with the most scheduled flights are El Paso or Albuquerque. Check with your travel agent to find the best travel route.

Offers airport service to the Inn of the Mountain Gods to and from area airports including Roswell, El Paso, Albuquerque, and Sierra Blanca. If you are traveling in a group, charter services can also be arranged.

Driving Directions to the Inn of the Mountain Gods

El Paso and the South
HWY 54 East to HWY 70 which junctions at the South end of Alamogordo. Take the 54/70 relief route North to Tularosa. The relief route will rejoin Hwy 54/70 south of Tularosa. Proceed North on Hwy 54/70 through the town of Tularosa. Proceed another 22 miles until you are able to turn left or West at the Inn of the Mountain Gods electronic marquee sign approximately 6 miles before the Village of Ruidoso. Follow the road approximately 4 miles to the Inn of the Mountain Gods.

Las Cruces and the West
Hwy 70 East to Alamogordo. Take the 54/70 relief route North to Tularosa. The relief route will rejoin Hwy 54/70 south of Tularosa. Proceed North on Hwy 54/70 through the town of Tularosa. Proceed another 22 miles until you are able to turn left or West at the Inn of the Mountain Gods electronic marquee sign approximately 6 miles before the Village of Ruidoso. Follow the road approximately 4 miles to the Inn of the Mountain Gods.

Albuquerque and the North
Take I-25 South to HWY 380. HWY 380 East to HWY 37. Turn South or right on HWY 37 and follow until it intersects with HWY 48. Turn right or South on HWY 48 and proceed South until Hwy 48, Mechem Drive at this point, comes to a T-type intersection with Sudderth Drive in the Village of Ruidoso. Turn left or East on Sudderth Drive and proceed approximately 1.5 miles until you view an Inn of the Mountain Gods sign at the intersection of Sudderth Drive and Evergreen. Turn right on Evergreen for three blocks until it merges with Carrizzo Canyon Road. Follow Carrizzo Canyon Road approximately 4 miles to the Inn of the Mountain Gods.

REGISTRATION FEES

Members NOT Serving on the Board: The registration fee for non-board members is $150. The fee includes one ticket to the Awards Luncheon and Dinner Dance on Friday. Spouses and guests are charged $35 per person to attend the Awards Luncheon and $65 per person for the Fiesta! Dinner Dance (scheduled on Friday). In order to assist us in providing our vendors with accurate meal guarantees, please register by June 20. Payment must accompany your registration. Fees are payable by company or personal check, American Express, MasterCard or Visa.

Board of Directors: Members of the 2008-09 Board of Directors are not required to pay the base registration fee. Spouses and guests of board members will be charged the individual event fees for the Awards Luncheon and the Fiesta! Dinner Dance on Friday.

Late Registration Procedure: Register on-line! Registrations submitted after June 24 will not be processed in advance of the meeting. If you are unable to register for the meeting prior to June 24, bring your completed form and payment with you and register on site at the TSCPA registration desk on Thursday, June 26 or Friday, June 27.

Chapter Executive Directors/Secretaries Registration Policy: The base fee is waived for Chapter Executive Directors/Secretaries. Chapter EDs may attend those events, which are included in the base fee free of charge. Your guests may attend at the spouse rate.

GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION

Member Proxies: Bylaws Article 10, Section 5. All members of the Society entitled to vote shall be entitled to vote by proxy at any meeting, but no member may vote more than five such proxies. All proxies must state the name of the member to whom the proxy is given and may not contain a power substitution.

Refunds or Transfer of Fees: A $50 service charge is assessed on cancellations received on or before June 20. Our vendors require that we provide meal guarantees the morning of June 20. We are unable to give credit or refunds after this date. Fees cannot be refunded or transferred to other annual meeting events after June 20.

Attire: Relaxed business attire is appropriate for meetings and our group dinner. Cool, resort-casual clothing with comfortable walking shoes is appropriate at the hotel and shopping venues. Bring sunscreen and your hat! Remember even if it is hot outside, meeting room temperatures can sometimes be cold. Layer your clothing so that you may adjust for your personal comfort.

Recording: All audio and video recording devices are prohibited in meeting rooms without the written permission from the speaker and TSCPA prior to the session.

Smoking Policy: All TSCPA functions are non-smoking.

Invitation Only Events: For the travel convenience of our volunteers, some committee chairmen have scheduled meetings in conjunction with the Annual and Board of Directors Meetings. These ancillary meetings are not an official part of the Annual Meeting of Members or the Board of Directors Meeting. Attendance at these events is by invitation only. These meetings/events are marked with an asterisk (*).
