Continuing Professional Education (CPE)

An important aspect of maintaining the CPA certificate is the continuing professional education required by the state of Texas. TSCPA's comprehensive portfolio of seminars, conferences and online study programs are designed to represent real-world workplace dynamics faced by CPAs every day.

  • Members get CPE discount opportunities not available to nonmembers. The discounts add up to make membership an option Texas CPA's can't afford to miss.
  • Special interest conferences custom-tailored by members for members. Conferences offer an all-in-one package members use to great advantage for education and networking. In addition, conferences are often held at top hotels near popular tourist and recreation destinations.
  • Members have access to an exclusive online CPE tool to track and update their CPE records. The CPE Personal Assistant can also print a transcript of CPE hours custom-made for the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
  • TSCPA delivers education at both the state and chapter level. Our CPE meets your growing demand for knowledge and your need for flexibility.
  • Our Website is your one-stop education destination. TSCPA provides CPE in a variety of formats in order to cater to busy professionals.
  • Our online CPE catalog not only allows you to browse upcoming offerings anytime, but it also lets you register and pay online too.
  • Consider bringing one of our expert instructors to your office. If you have 10 or more staff who need training, then TSCPA's On-Site Training can provide for your firm or company's educational needs.

Your Voice in Legislative and Regulatory Issues

While you can't always be in Austin — we are. One of the principal functions of TSCPA is to serve as the voice of the accounting profession before government and regulatory bodies. No one works harder to preserve the high standard and integrity of the CPA certificate in Texas than member volunteers and TSCPA staff.

  • TSCPA informs members about regulatory changes on both the state and national levels that are important to not only CPAs, but clients and employers as well.
  • TSCPA constantly monitors legislation to make sure members are informed regarding matters important to CPAs and the Texas business community.
  • Members volunteers are very active in programs such as the CPA-PAC and Key Persons on behalf of the profession.
  • TSCPA works closely with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy and the Texas Comptroller's office to make sure members are well-informed about regulatory issues.
